Busing was a “HOT Topic” during ALL public meeting regarding the bylaw change to allow SD43 to build Heritage Mountain Middle School / Heritage Woods Middle School.
The following article is an interesting follow up…
The issue of busing — specifically the question of who should get rides to school and who shouldn’t — has dogged trustees since provincial funding was capped in 2002 and it has provided some anxiety for parents, especially Port Moody and Anmore parents, who turned out to witness debate at the board meeting.
By the smiles on their faces, it was clear they were happy the issue was put to rest — at least until Heritage Mountain middle school opens its doors in two years or so.
